You sometimes come across homes that you immediately take to your heart. And it is just such a property, a running B&B, that we are about to view.
This spacious B&B, located in a hamlet just outside Oria, is a beautiful authentic farmhouse, tastefully renovated in 2019 and furnished with modern elements.
When we arrive at the house, we have no idea how big the property is, and what we will find there.
This quickly becomes clear when we enter the house. The cortijo stands on 53,000 m2 of land. There are now plenty of olive and almond trees that are maintained by a local farmer and from which the owners receive a part of the yield.
When we enter the house, we first encounter a tastefully decorated terrace, especially for the guests of the BB. This spacious terrace, with several seats, is shaded by a grape that grows luxuriantly over the pergola. The wooden statue of the bull and lounge area for your guests make it complete.
From this terrace we come to the luxuriously furnished guest rooms. The largest room, ´la Gitana´, has air conditioning and an en suite bathroom with a bath, a large walk-in shower, a washbasin and a toilet.
Moving on to the second room, called ´la Olivia´, you enter a room with a pleasantly warm atmosphere. This room has a ceiling fan and the large adjoining bathroom has a toilet, bidet and a large walk-in shower.
The third room, ´la Tierra´, has two single beds and also an adjoining bathroom, this time with shower and toilet. All rooms have TV. The second and third rooms can be connected by a dividing door. So families with children can easily stay in this B&B.
The rooms of the B B section are easy to reach and lock off from the private section. You as manager can therefore at all times prepare the rooms for your new guests without having to walk outside.
Furthermore, the BB has its own, fully equipped kitchen. In this atmospheric room, guests can prepare their own meals, and there is also place to eat together inside. Of course, in a house like this, a storage room may not be lacking. This room of no less than 11 m2 is equipped with various cabinets and shelves, and a dishwasher.
Now let´s go to the higher private area. It has been decorated in the same style as the guest rooms. Old elements such as the old stable door are stylishly combined with the carefully chosen floors and furnishings.
Through a private terrace, we enter the kitchen with an adjoining utility room. The kitchen has a cooking island with a granite worktop. From the kitchen we enter the spacious living room which consists of two parts: a dining area and the TV room.
Note the old beams that you see in the ceilings. A beautiful element that emphasises the authenticity of the house. Upstairs we find two more bedrooms, two bathrooms and an office area.
Of course, with a property like this, a swimming pool is a must. Let´s continue upstairs and find a place where you can enjoy the sun and a refreshing dive.
This area can be supplemented with an outdoor kitchen or a bar. The construction for this is already there, you only need to furnish it. Adjacent to the pool, the terrain has been levelled off, so there is room to place tents.
Behind the house we find another large barn, partly completely renovated and used as a workshop and hobby room. The other part is currently being used as storage, but could easily be converted into an additional guest house.
Oria is a small town situated in the Almeria province, approximately 1025m above sea level and approximately 24km from Albox. Oria has a town hall, post office, banks, shops, several bars, a restaurant and schools for children up to the age of 12 years. The nearest secondary schools are in Albox and Cantoria. There is a 24 hour medical centre, with the nearest large hospital being in Huercal Overa. The municipal swimming pool is open in July and August and the local market is held on Sunday mornings.
